If you have determined that your lawn mower with a Honda small engine or other outdoor power product is in need of a new carburetor, follow these easy steps on how to replace it:
Make sure the engine has been cooled before doing this repair
Unplug the spark plug wire
Turn the fuel valve to the off position
Remove the air filter cover by pressing the tabs on the top
Remove the air cleaner housing bolts with a socket wrench
Release the engine shut off wire
Pull the breather tube off of the housing to remove the housing and gasket
Using pliers, release the clamp to disconnect the fuel line from the carb
Remove any gaskets that are free
Rotate the carb to disconnect it from the choke and throttle linkages
Install the new carburetor (reuse existing gaskets for install)
