A woman is in a critical condition after being stabbed in the abdomen, back and hand by another woman in central NSW.
Police say the attack happened after a man at a house in Parkes went to investigate noises outside and allegedly found a 45-year-old woman damaging a car, about 10pm (AEST) on Wednesday.
A woman inside the house then allegedly grabbed a knife, went outside and got into a tussle with the 45-year-old, stabbing her four times in her abdomen, back and hand.
The injured woman managed to walk to a neighbouring house and was later taken to Orange Base Hospital where she underwent surgery and remains in a critical condition.
A 38-year-old woman has since been arrested and charged with reckless wounding. She has been refused bail to appear in Parkes Local Court on Thursday.
Investigations are continuing.
