A middle-aged Saudi man has been sentenced to death by beheading for killing two people while performing a dangerous car stunt, which was captured on video by an onlooker.
The driver, only identified as "Muttanish", was performing a ‘drifting’ stunt when his car began to spin out of control near the capital of Riyadh on Tuesday, Reuters reports.
A video posted on YouTube captured the moment Muttanish lost control of his car in front of a crowd assembled along the road.
Onlookers can be seen fleeing as several police vehicles rush to the scene.
A Saudi Arabian court has treated the death as the equivalent of criminally negligent homicide and sentenced the man to death by beheading.
