A US council worker has reportedly been fired after being caught on tape forcing his way into a sleeping woman's home and shouting at her that she needed to mow her lawn.
Columbia County compliance officer Jimmy Vowell entered Erica Master's home as she slept on Monday morning to serve a notice for her grass being too long, WJBF reports.
"He let himself in and actually came through the house and into my bedroom. And yelled at me to wake me up, to let me know that I needed to come back outside and sign the violation notice," Ms Masters said.
She said she was alarmed to wake to a "big burly" man she didn't recognise standing in her doorway.
"He scared the mess out of me," she said.
Ms Masters filed a complaint against Mr Vowell after the incident and he has reportedly been fired after an internal county investigation.
Ms Masters said Mr Vowell violated her privacy and also could have put himself at risk by entering homes without permission.
"I do understand that my yard needs to be cut. I understand that. I have no problem with that. I understand them having to serve a violation notice, but the way they handled it was completely unacceptable," Ms Masters said.

we could have a whole lot more business if they enforced neat and tidy lawn requirements like that over here!!! Then again it'd probably just be a mob of non paying customers.
