Meet a new player that's starting up business this spring, good for him as there's plenty of work out there.
what got me pissed of is that he is going to offer cheap mowing so he gets all the work (like they all do)
I told them that they wouldn't last as they will soon see they are working making no money.
People like him, all they are doing is driving the price down and then they wonder why they go broke and couldn't make their business work.
All i can say to any new operators is to get to know others around you and charge all the same - up to 90% of all new operators go bust by the end of the 1st year.
Don't know how many jobs I've quoted over the yrs and had the clients turn around and say that's expensive as the last guy did it for $25 or $35, you ask the client why they don't keep using them then and just about every time your told that they are no longer mowing.
So many people don't realize the overheads that us genuine contractors have.
